RCM Touring facing liquidation following non-payment to Big Deal Touring

An application for liquidation has been lodged to the Federal Court of Australia by Sydney touring company Big Deal Touring, who allege that Melbourne's RCM Touring have failed to pay them on numerous occasions.

As The Music reports, RCM Touring, which is headed by celebrity agent Ralph Carr, reportedly owes Big Deal Touring $120,300 for a number of events which were invoiced between July and December of 2017.

Big Deal Touring have now filed this application for liquidation with the Federal Court of Australia, with hopes for RCM Touring "to be wound up in insolvency relying on failure by the company to comply with a statutory demand".

While Ralph Carr is best known as the manager for the likes of Aussie musician Kate Ceberano, entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins, and AFL star Dustin Martin, RCM Touring has also headed up a number of events in recent years, with funds still owing to Big Deal Touring after an Elvis Presley tribute concert, a Priscilla Presley speaking engagement, and an appearance by Dustin Martin at Melbourne's Crown Casino.

A final tour, what was to be Australia's first hologram tour featuring the late Roy Orbison, was cancelled earlier this year.

A hearing to determine the outcome of the application is set to go ahead on the 1st of June.

Elvis Encore Tour August 2018 (dated 8 July 2017): $16,500

Roy Orbison Tour (dated 8 August 2017): $16,500

Priscilla Presley Tour (dated 24 November 2017): $25,300

Dustin Martin at Melbourne's The Palms (dated 8 December 2017): $11,000

Bonus payable under the Elvis agreement: $51,000
