QMusic is producing a new opportunity for up-and-coming Queensland musicians with the AMPLIFY songwriters retreat.

The program will see the development of local songwriters in the mountains of Buderim at Heliport Studios.

Producers and Aussie songwriters from major labels and publishing houses will mentor the group of aspiring musicians, providing a space to co-write and collaborate on new music.

“As a leader in developing artists across Queensland and beyond, we thought it was crucial to create an opportunity beyond workshops and building connections,” says QMusic Program Manager Trina Massey.

“For the successful Industry connect participants who’ve focused on understanding the industry side of their art, AMPLIFY works a way to expose artist co-writing, songwriting tools and creating collaborative ideas.”

The program is open to 2017 and 2018 Industry Connect participants and will see QMusic cover accommodation, food and transport from Brisbane or Sunshine Coast.

Applications are open now and will close on September 12, for more information and to apply, click here.
