Following news that broke yesterday afternoon of Pandora founder Tim Westergren's plan to step down from his CEO role at the company, there are strong whispers that the company is to halt its Australia and New Zealand operations imminently.

AdNews broke the story an hour ago, but so far the Australian office (who we've reached out to) are yet to confirm this news.

It seems rather likely considering former MD Jane Huxley quit six months ago, and has yet to be replaced. The company boasts 1.2m active Australian users, but has been swamped by Spotify's dominance in our market.

We'll let you know more once we find it out (then fact-check, then type, then publish it, alert you via social media, etc. etc.)
