Feeling the weight from the pandemic? The AAWE needs your thoughts.

The Australian Alliance for Wellness in Entertainment is calling on professionals from the entertainment industries for their insights and experiences on these most difficult of times.

With this input, according to Everymind, the mental wellness advocate which is conducting the research, researchers will develop programmes tailored to the mental health needs of people who work in the entertainment and creative industries.

It all feeds into a report, Understanding the effect of COVID-19 on the Entertainment Industry, which intends to build on previous findings in the Australian entertainment and creative industries.

By Monday (June 21), researchers had received more than 336 survey responses.

For those working in the live and ticketing worlds, the pandemic has been nothing of crushing.

A member survey organised and published by the Australian Live Music Business Council (ALMBC) found almost 70% of live music businesses had seen revenue fall by 75-100% since lockdowns began.

Many have had little to no income in that time.

According to that study, the uncertainty of the past year has negatively impacted the mental health of almost 93% of live music business owners and workers.

The issues surrounding the health crisis and the knock-on effects to mental health will be explored at Support Act's inaugural ‘Head First’ conference, set for July 29 at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney.

The latest questionnaire spans eight pages and takes about 10 minutes to complete, and is targeted at the entire foodchain, from sole traders, to contractors, creators, freelancers, independent artists, support workers and more.

Expect to share your thoughts -- on a scale of 1 to 5 -- on how the pandemic affects your mindset, your bank balance and your work-life balance.
