The Mushroom Group put out a statement yesterday afternoon which clarified media reports in the past few days about Future Music, Goodlife and Summadayze.

Three companies associated with their original promoter Future Entertainment went into liquidation. But these had already had their assets shifted in June to three new companies rebranded as Music Events.

The old companies owed $22,215 but creditors estimated the figure closer to $500,000.

The Mushroom statement pointed out that (a) Future Music and Goodlife “are set to return in 2014 even bigger and better” with a launch planned for Sydney next Tuesday with Rudimental playing; and (b) Mushroom Group and its touring arm Frontier only bought into the two festivals for 2014.

“This will be Mushroom and Frontier’s first association with these two events.”
