Channel 7’s Michael Hutchence: The Last Rockstar is up for a Logie in the Most Outstanding Factual or Documentary Program.
Screened last spring and despite condemnation from INXS and Hutchence's brother, it revealed the singer’s mindset before his death.
He hit his head on a pavement following a dispute with a taxi driver in 1992.
He permanently lost his sense of smell and taste, which was frustrating for him.
But friends said he changed after that, with one INXS member quoted, “He was a dick [after the attack.] It wasn't him, that's the thing. It wasn't the Michael we knew."
