Live Nation has today announced a new ticket upsell initiative to coincide with AusMusic Month.

For the remainder of October and all of November, fans purchasing tickets to any Live Nation shows can make a voluntary donation to local music charity Support Act at the checkout, which will aim to boost funds for musicians, crew and workers doing it tough.

The initiative will be available to some major tours coming up over the next month, including Oasis, Metallica, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga and Jelly Roll, as well as the recently-announced On The Steps concert series at the Sydney Opera House which see headline shows from the likes of Jimmy Barnes, The Living End, Chet Faker and Ruel.

Official On The Steps merchandise will also be available, with all proceeds from sales donated to Support Act.

“November is all about celebrating Australian music, and we’re proud to expand our partnership  with Support Act during AusMusic Month," Alex Klos, Live Nation Entertainment Australia & New Zealand President, said.

"Every ticket sold represents not just a great night out,  but an opportunity to give back to the people who make the magic of live music possible.”

Support Act CEO, Clive Miller, said the charity is the "heart and hand of Australian music" and thanked Live Nation for the initiative.
