Australian Institute of Music Reveals 2026 Justin Cosby Scholarship Recipients
The 2026 recipients of the Justin Cosby Scholarship at the Australian Institute of Music have been revealed.

The recipients of the Australian Institute of Music's Justin Cosby Scholarship have been revealed.
The Justin Cosby Scholarship, jointly funded by AIM through the AIM Education Foundation and an endowment from Cosby’s friends, family, and business partners, is dedicated to supporting one student annually pursuing a Bachelor of Music Business degree. The scholarship honours Justin’s profound impact on the Australian music scene and his unwavering commitment to nurturing emerging talent.
Following Oscar Badham's withdrawal from the AIM course in late 2025, and in recognition of the exceptional strength of the 2026 applicant pool, AIM chose to extend its support by awarding two scholarships this year.
This year's recipients are Amelie Logan and Paris Mavrick. Both demonstrated a strong passion for the music and creative industries, with ambitions to build meaningful careers that contribute to the future of the sector.
Logan brings a dedicated and thoughtful approach to the music industry, combining her background as a performer with hands-on experience in Australia’s live music and festival scene. After moving from Aotearoa, she immersed herself in Melbourne’s vibrant gigs and festivals, sparking a curiosity for the planning and management behind the scenes.
She has gained practical experience at major festivals, including Pitch Music & Arts, Beyond the Valley, and Strawberry Fields, building a strong understanding of festival operations and a clear focus on supporting artists and the wider music community. She is now pursuing the Bachelor of Music Business to develop her skills and networks to establish a sustainable career in live music and events.
"I’m truly honoured to receive The Justin Cosby Scholarship. It’s an incredible opportunity to further develop my skills and deepen my understanding of the live music industry," Logan said. "I’m excited to continue learning, gaining hands-on experience, and contributing to a scene that has given me so much inspiration and passion."

Mavrick, who originally comes from a sporting background, recently transitioned into music, bringing a fresh perspective and drive to the industry. Demonstrating strong enthusiasm for the evolving music landscape, he is passionate about exploring opportunities in the entertainment sector, with a focus on developing both creative and business skills.
“Being selected as a recipient of the Justin Cosby Scholarship is a true honour. This opportunity will allow me to dive headfirst into both the logistical and performative sides of the music industry, something I am incredibly grateful for," Mavrick said. "The cliché ‘music is my life’ genuinely resonates with me; it reflects who I am at my core. Knowing that Justin shared this same passion makes this scholarship even more meaningful and inspires me to contribute to the industry in my own way while honouring his legacy."
Inertia Music, Musica Copa, One Louder, Future Classic, JB Hi-Fi, Remote Control Records, MGM Distribution, So Frenchy So Chic, Proper Productions, and Sweat It Out have provided financial contributions towards the Justin Cosby Scholarship. "We deeply appreciate the invaluable support of these esteemed companies in empowering the next wave of music professionals," AIM said.
