Australian DJ and producer Joel Fletcher has launched a new joint venture between his independent imprint Black Listed Records and global label service company Ditto Music, signalling a major step forward in his evolution as both an artist and label operator.

The partnership will see Black Listed Records expand its remit as a platform dedicated to discovering and developing emerging talent, while continuing to release Fletcher’s own music and collaborations. With Ditto providing global label services and infrastructure, the venture is designed to scale both Fletcher’s catalogue and the next wave of artists signed to the Black Listed roster.

Speaking on the launch, Fletcher said the move reflects a natural progression after years of building independently: “This is about creating something long-term, not just releasing music, but creating a platform that drives the sound I’m deeply passionate about, and gives artists the space to grow and compete on a global stage.”

Having cemented himself as one of Australia’s most consistent electronic artists, he is now shifting focus toward expanding his role behind the scenes. Through Black Listed Records, he aims to leverage his experience, network, and audience to support and elevate new talent in the dance music space.

The joint venture positions Black Listed Records as a key emerging player in the independent landscape, combining artist-led vision with global distribution capabilities.

Ditto Music’s general manager for AUNZ, Aliga Gama (aka Gamirez), said the company is thrilled to be partnering with Fletcher on the venture. "Combining Joel’s creative vision with Ditto’s investment and global label service infrastructure, Black Listed Records will champion and export the next wave of Australian dance music," he said.

Ditto Music’s head of global A&R, Joe Mason, also welcomed the partnership: “It is wonderful to see our partnership with Joel Fletcher develop as he builds on his hugely impressive career with this new venture. He is a proud independent artist and we are excited to be part of his journey.”
