Jaxsta rings in the changes as Alli Galloway and Jessy Trengove land promotions.

Announced Tuesday (Sept. 12), Galloway rises to chief marketing officer (CMO) at the official music credits database and Trengove is named as chief product officer (CPO).

Both join CEO Josh Simons and CFO Jorge Nigalioni in the company’s new-look C-Suite.

Galloway, a music industry veteran with 18 years' industry experience in Australia and the U.K., joined Jaxsta in 2021 as head of audience & creative. Prior to that, she served as a senior executive with Warner Music Australia.

Her promotion is recognition for her “contributions to strategic choices and co-leading initiatives that drive business expansion,” reads a statement, and for her efforts aligning the ecosystem of audiences across Jaxsta and its Vampr and Vinyl.com divisions.

“We’re entering a new phase for the business, and I look forward to bringing renewed focus to digital, content, platforms, comms, SEO and partnerships across our ecosystem,” comments Galloway in a statement.

“By incorporating best practices and creative thinking into every facet of marketing, I’m committed to a holistic approach for marketing strategies with long-term objectives in mind, as well as fostering a culture of continuous growth and learning.”

Meanwhile, Trengove joined Jaxsta following the completion of the acquisition in June of Vampr, where she served as head of insights since early 2020.

In her new post as CPO, Trengrove will be tasked with defining and aligning the product vision across the group's different business units, which encompass a variety of product types and business models, from B2B and enterprise SaaS, to consumer app and ecommerce.

“As the company evolved to encompass multiple brands, the need for a chief product officer became clear, and I’m excited about taking on the challenge with these additional responsibilities,” Trengrove adds.

“I’m particularly looking forward to unlocking synergies and integration opportunities across our ecosystem.”

Josh Simons

The promotions follow on the heels of Simons’ own elevation as CEO, rounding out the new-look C-Suite.

Simons joined Jaxsta following the completion of the Sydney-based business’s acquisition of Vampr which he founded in 2015. He was initially appointed chief strategy officer at Jaxsta before becoming CEO.

“With Alli’s background deeply embedded in the music industry and Jessy bringing significant tech expertise from her time in the world of startups, they add an enviable combination of experience and stability to our leadership team,” Simons explains.

“They have been instrumental in the growth and development of Jaxsta, Vampr and Vinyl in recent years, and it’s a pleasure to be able to recognise them for their commitment and achievement within the business to date.”

Currently, Jaxsta is the only music company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: JXT).

Speaking with The Music Network for an interview published last month, Simons identified one of his "key focuses for the first four quarters will be getting a great revenue story" for the business.

"It's all about revenue for this next 12 months," he noted. "Revenue growth."
