Julia Michaels is the first artist confirmed to perform at the iconic [V] Island Parties for 2019, with iHeartRadio Australia on board this year as a presenting partner.

Radio Today reports The Grammy Award-nominated artist will perform on Wednesday, January 30 on Sydney harbour, with the set to be televised exclusively on Foxtel on [V].

iHeartRadio has also launched a new digital radio station called [V] Island Parties Radio, which plays hits exclusively by artists who've performed on [V] Island including Ed Sheeran, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Mark Ronson, Rudimental, Charli XCX, PNAU, Guy Sebastian and Delta Goodrem.

Michaels will perform songs from her EP Nervous System for an exclusive audience, including her Grammy Song of the Year nomination 'Issues'.

“Julia Michaels is a pop star of substance – she writes her own songs intelligently with a strength of talent that has seen her pen songs for and collaborated with, some of the world’s biggest stars. Now Julia is in her own spotlight," said Fraser Stark, Group General Manager, Foxtel’s Entertainment & Music channels.

"The moment [V] heard her debut single ‘Issues’, we were hooked and the channel has supported her passionately since. Julia’s first ever Australian TV performance was on [V] so it’s great to now have her take to the [V] Island this summer."
