The Potbelleez’ Ilan Kidron, Little May’s Annie Hamilton, platinum producer and artist Taka Perry and in-demand producers Chloe Dadd and Ninajirachi are lending a hand to young NSW songwriters invited to the ultimate holiday camp.

Announced Wednesday (April 13), the SongMakers Holiday Sessions are part of the Office for Regional Youth Holiday Breakprogram, a partnership with APRA AMCOS and Create NSW.

Through the first round of the programme, rising regional songwriters from Albury, Port Macquarie, Goulburn, Coffs Harbour and Wagga Wagga are tapped for workshops where they’ll write songs, record and learn from some of the best in the business.

“Collaboration and connection makes the global industry tick: just about every great song has been written in a team process,” comments Tina Broad, SongMakers Project Lead, APRA AMCOS.

“And connection through music is also a powerful part of how we’ve all coped through the trials of the past year. We can’t wait to meet some budding new songwriters across regional NSW through these sessions and keep the connections going as we match them with some really inspiring mentors.”
