Global ticketing and event technology platform Eventbrite has announced it's partnership with YouTube to make it easier for fans to get tickets to gigs through the video streaming site.

The integration will see Eventbrite show listings and 'Tickets' buttons appear on the YouTube desktop and app of thousands of YouTube official artist channels from around the world.

"This partnership is a homerun for artists, fans and independent venues and promoters and we’re fired up to leverage the power of video discovery to help our clients drive ticket sales, support artists that play their venues, and give fans the kinds of live music experiences they’ll never forget,” said Andrew Dreskin, President of Eventbrite’s music division.

“We're delighted to add YouTube to our roster of distribution partners, and to be displaying our clients’ shows to its massive global audience of music fans."

The first Australian artists to benefit from the new feature include RÜFÜS DU SOLStella Donnelly and Wafia with viewers being prompted to buy tickets to their US shows while viewing their videos on YouTube desktop and the YouTube app.
