Electric Island Expands in 2026 with Five Beachside Shows and a Massive Electronic Lineup
Electric Island returns bigger than ever in 2026, bringing headliner Armand Van Helden and more to Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.

Electric Island is turning things up a notch in 2026, expanding into a three-city, five-show run across Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.
Topping the bill is American house pioneer Armand Van Helden, who’ll play every stop on the tour, alongside local favourites Flight Facilities (DJ Set). Joining them for select weekenders in Melbourne and Perth are Grammy-nominated trance heavyweights Above & Beyond, rounding out a headline cast built for sunset dance floors and late-night euphoria.
The series kicks off at Adelaide’s Glenelg Beach on April 11th, before heading to Melbourne’s RIVA and Perth’s Cottesloe Beach for two-day weekenders on April 18th and 19th.
A pioneer of modern house, Van Helden has spent three decades at the forefront of club culture, from early releases on Strictly Rhythm and Logic Records to era-defining hits like “My My My”, “I Want Your Soul” and “Barbara Streisand” (as one half of Duck Sauce). Known for his exuberant DJ sets and deep-cut remixes, he remains one of dance music’s most enduring names.
Joining the run in Melbourne and Perth, Above & Beyond return to Australian shores with their new album Bigger Than All Of Us. The Grammy-nominated trio, whose 'Group Therapy' radio show has become a global institution, are no strangers to emotional dance-floor moments, having sold out iconic venues from Red Rocks to the Sydney Opera House.
Rounding out the first lineup announcement are local legends Flight Facilities, whose feel-good anthems “Crave You”, “Clair de Lune” and “Sunshine” helped define a generation of Australian electronic music. Known for their cinematic sets and festival energy, the duo are set to deliver a dose of nostalgia and late-summer euphoria.
Promoter Damian Gelle says the 2026 rollout marks the festival’s biggest step yet. “Next year our Electric Island run expands into three states with five open-air shows across some of Australia’s finest shorelines, including our debut at Melbourne’s lush Riviera Beach Club in St Kilda," he said.
