Drake Faces Lawsuit Over 'Deceptive' Online Casino
Drake faces legal action following allegations that he engaged in deceptive practices while promoting an online casino platform.

Drake faces legal action in Missouri following allegations that he and influencer Adin Ross engaged in deceptive practices while promoting the online casino platform Stake.us.
As per Rolling Stone, the class action lawsuit, filed by plaintiff Justin Killham in Jackson County Circuit Court, accuses the defendants of misleading consumers about the true nature of the gambling platform.
The 34-page complaint alleges that Drake and Ross received "unjust enrichment" from Stake.us by promoting it as a "harmless" social casino when it allegedly operates as a "highly addictive" and "unlawful gambling platform." According to the lawsuit, this promotional activity violated Missouri law and resulted in real gambling losses for vulnerable users.
Central to the legal challenge is Stake.us's dual-currency system, which bundles virtual "gold coins" with a second token type called "Stake Cash." The lawsuit claims that while gold coins are presented as non-redeemable, the Stake Cash tokens can be wagered on casino games and converted to real money, creating what the filing describes as "a clear vehicle for real-money gambling."
The complaint specifically targets the livestream gambling content produced by Drake and Ross, which allegedly generated millions in payments from Stake. "When Ross and Drake purport to gamble online with Stake.com, they often do not do so with their own money despite telling the public in Missouri and elsewhere the opposite," the lawsuit states.
Particularly concerning to the plaintiffs is the alleged targeting of younger demographics through what they describe as fraudulent marketing practices. The lawsuit argues that "Stake's influencer marketing, especially through Drake and Ross, is directed, among others, at teenagers in Missouri and in other states."
The timing of the lawsuit filing proved noteworthy, occurring on the same day Drake posted social media content showing a $1 million balance on his Stake.com account. The video depicted Drake appearing stunned while viewing the balance, with the caption reading "Money in the vault???????????? @stake are you trying to tell me we're back?"

This post appeared to reference Drake's previous public dispute with Stake in August, when he accused the platform of blocking his withdrawal attempts. Stake responded to Drake's recent post with "We never left" and birthday wishes, as the content was shared three days after Drake's 39th birthday on October 24th.
