DMA’s cover of the Cher classic 'Believe', cut in 2016 for triple j’s Like A Version, has been certified gold in Australia for sales of 35,000.

The song, which came about “after we were mucking about it at soundcheck”, was officially released as a single in 2017 by I OH YOU/ Mushroom Group after pressure from fans.

It quickly got picked up by radio, going on to reach #6 on the 2016 Hottest 100, the highest ever position for a Like A Version.

In the meantime, DMA’S’ debut album Hills End has now achieved BRIT Certified Breakthrough status.

The award is given to artists who achieve 30,000 sales for one of their albums for the first time in the UK.

DMA’S second album For Now from April 2018, which reached #7 in Australia, peaked at #13 on the Official Album Chart in the UK

Tommy O’Dell (vocals), Matt Mason (lead guitar & backing vocals) and Johnny Took (guitar).will return to the UK in April for a 10-date headline tour, following their completely sold out UK tour of last December.
