It looks like Gang Of Youths aren’t too far away from releasing new music.

As GOY fan blog Deepest Sighs points out, Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has shared footage and audio of the band in the studio.

Ricciardo is a known GOY fan, so he’s obviously been invited into a session.

Two separate clips were available on his Instagram story until Wednesday, July 2 at approximately 4pm.

The first clip sounds like a recording of an upbeat guitar-driven melody as Dave Le'aupepe sings over the top.

Then there are two clips of different songs, complete with footage from inside the studio.

The band recently inked a global deal with Warner Bros. Records, but will remain with Sony Music Entertainment for Australia & New Zealand.

Any potential new release will be the first music we've heard from Gang Of Youths since 2017 album Go Farther In Lightness, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in August 2017 and for which GOY won four ARIA Awards.

They released an MTV Unplugged album in 2018 which peaked at #5 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
