Music continues to be a significant part of YouTube's offering, and the video platform is once again set to bring Coachella live streams to viewers.

In addition to the launch of YouTube Music in 2018, YouTube ended the year with lists of the Top Trending Aussie Musicians and first local 'Artists To Watch In 2019' list as it further leverages both recorded and live music.

Coachella will return to YouTube for the ninth year, featuring artists including Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande, Tame Impala, Kacey Musgraves, Billie Eilish and stacks more.

A per usual, weekend one will be streaming between April 12 and 14, giving music fans around the world the best seats in the desert for live performances.

Users can create personalised viewing schedules and highlights will be available through a video-on-demand hub.

Performances will be streamed on the YouTube Music app as well for the first time, plus in another first, YouTube will keep the cameras rolling for the second weekend.

History will also be made with the first-ever broadcast of a festival live stream on New York City’s iconic Times Square big screen, streaming BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated performance on The Beast screen in Times Square at 11:50 p.m. ET on Friday, April 12, 2019.

Pitchfork also reports that Childish Gambino & Rihanna's new film Guava Island is set to premiere on the YouTube Coachella live stream and some stage during the festival.

The countdown is on here.
