Festival booking platform Festicket has doubled down on its partnership with Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival as the exclusive international ticketing partner for 2022.

The deal will see Festicket provide international booking services for 54 different countries outside of North America, including regions in the UK, Europe, Australasia and beyond.

Over 40 currencies and 16 local payment methods will be offered ahead of Coachella's return next June, with Festicket also providing its international booking services in nine different languages.

The partnership extends the relationship between Festicket and Coachella's organisers Goldenvoice, which has already attracted over 3.2 million fans to the festival's pages and tailoring travel packages to festivalgoers from 63 different nations.

Festicket CEO and co-founder Zack Sabban said that the partnership proved that demand for music tourism among the public was stronger than ever in the wake of the pandemic.

“The fact that Festicket fans from 54 countries have already bought tickets for 2022 is such a positive sign," Sabban noted.

"Despite all the doom and gloom the pandemic has brought, music lovers are ready to get back to the experiences they live for and are ready to support the events they love, now - when it counts - even if the events aren’t for another nine months. That is brilliant to see.

“Everybody is well aware of the struggles the events and ticketing industries have suffered during the pandemic but having used this time to fast-track integrations with our new Event Genius offering, we really feel we’re ready to make even more strides into the United States in 2021 and beyond.”

Prior to being postponed in March last year, the 2020 edition of the festival was set to feature a heavily anticipated reunion of Rage Against The Machine, as well as headlining sets from Travis Scott and Frank Ocean.

Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is now expected to make its return to California over the span of two weekends in April 2022.
