Another piece of good news for Sydney's live music scene as Brighton Hotel becomes the latest Sydney venue to be granted extended opening hours. The Brighton Up Bar currently hosts live music three nights a week.

"We now have 11 venues in the Sydney CBD and Kings Cross that can serve drinks until 3:30am, with Liquor & Gaming NSW considering applications from a further 14 venues", the Minister for Racing Paul Toole announced today.

"I'm pleased there has been such a strong response from industry to the NSW Government's relaxation of lockout and last drinks for live entertainment venues.

"These changes are part of our Government's commitment to create a more vibrant nightlife for Sydney whole balancing the need for community safety."

This follows the recent approval of extended hours for Oxford Art Factory, Stonewall Hotel, Republic Hotel and more.
