DZ Deathrays inks global publishing deal with BMG Australia
The band’s next album arrives in July.

Aussie three-piece DZ Deathrays have joined BMG Australia’s roster after signing an exclusive global publishing deal.
The band are set to release their forthcoming album, ‘Positive Rising: Part 2’ in July next year, having recently shared the lead single ‘Fired Up’. The album is a sequel to their 2019 LP, ‘Positive Rising: Part 1’.
“We're very excited to join the BMG team and all the other great acts on their roster,” the band said in a statement.
“We're really looking forward to seeing what new ideas they bring to the table and are very grateful for the support they have shown us so far”.
BMG Australia’s managing director Heath Johns added, “We are so pleased to have BMG join their wonderful team and we look forward to making lots of noise together as part of this new global publishing relationship.”
“‘Positive Rising: Part 2’ is on another level and we can’t wait to help share it with the world”.
BMG’s roster currently includes AC/DC, Peking Duk, Client Liaison, Crowded House, Montaigne and Hockey Dad, among others. Back in September, BMG signed up-and-coming artist Kwame for an exclusive global publishing deal, and reported an increase of 4.8% YoY for the first half of 2020.
