BMG now owns 50% of The Potbelleez' back catalogue

BMG worldwide has acquired a 50% interest in the entire publishing back-catalogue of  The Potbelleez.

BMG worldwide has acquired a 50% interest in the entire publishing back-catalogue of  The Potbelleez.

The deal with the multi-APRA award-winning, multi-Platinum dance trio includes tracks ‘Don’t Hold Back’ (2x Platinum), ‘Are You With Me’ (Gold), ‘Hello’ (Gold) and ‘From The Music’ (2x Platinum).

BMG Australia Managing Director Heath Johns said, “To have Ilan, Jonny and Dave become lifetime partners with BMG across their incredible back-catalogue is a true honour for the BMG team and the ultimate sign of faith in what we are doing down here.

"A cornerstone of the BMG model is to sign and acquire evergreen publishing copyrights and this catalogue convincingly ticks that box”, before adding,“surely The Potbelleez are the Australian sync success story of the last decade”.

Manager of The Potbelleez Myles Cooper said, “The Potbelleez and I are thrilled to be working with the BMG team worldwide. Finding a long-term partner who understands the ongoing potential of these hit records was key for us. We have spent a lot of time with the teams in Oz and LA and this gives us a platform to have a creative and hungry team continue to build our story”.

BMG recently synched the trio's ‘Don’t Hold Back’ has been re-upped in a long-term deal with Jeep Australia.
