BIGSOUND final announcement adds G Flip, 70 new buyers & speakers + more

The final BIGSOUND announcement dropped a steaming hot pile of awesome this morning, with 70 new buyers, apps, party details and last-minute additions to the artist lineup.

The full program for Australia's biggest music industry conference has slipped some extra names into the already bursting artist programme.

If you weren't up bright and early on Saturday morning at Splendour in the Grass for G Flip's 12:30am performance, have no fear. The rising star has been added into the mix, along with I Know Leopard and a host of new artists such as DOBBY, RIVAHTotal PaceWedance and more. 

Alongside 150 names like Didirri, Kwame, Moaning Lisa, Ella Hooper, Alice Skye, Gravemind, Blank Realm, SYDE, Arno Faraji, Cable Ties, Olympia, Eilish Gilligan, and Good Doogs are the triple j Unearthed winners Keelan Mak and Austen

The final announcement also touts 70 new buyers and speakers including UNIFIED’s senior artist manager  Rachel Comerford, Future Classic’s founder/managing director Nathan McLay, Chugg Entertainment’s he-who-needs-no-introduction Michael Chugg, and Bossy Music’s boss Claire Collins ready to show the internationals how BIGSOUND is done. 

The visual arts program has also announced 13 artists, as well as eight exciting music tech innovators for the tech showcase, who will demonstrate their wares for the brand-spankin' new BIGSOUND Gallery boutique trade show.

The fezzy schedule is, as always, available on the BIGSOUND app, which has had a facelift and, for the first time sees and integration with Spotify for an enhanced journey of discovery based on your listening history.

Check out all of BIGSOUND's parties, with over a dozen official soirees added, alongside a bunch of secret shows, unofficial showcases and busking.

The HOME showcase has now been made the official opening party, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music getting the party started at 12.30pm on Tuesday, September 4.

Purple Pass holders will kick on at the legendary Secret Sounds / The Music afterparty from midnight on Thursday, plus - if you survive your hangover, there's two Friday evening closing parties from Milk! Records and Fat Wreck Chords featuring performances from Lagwagon’s Joey Cape, Lindsay & Jay from Frenzal Rhomb, Loose Tooth, Hachiku and more.
