Ten years ago today, beehive PR was founded as a team of one by Sammie Walsh nee Anschau, and in the decade since the group has fulfilled its vision: to be a boutique music publicity agency with a genuine loft for the craft in every campaign.

Beehive quickly expanded operations, opening offices in Sydney and Melbourne and expanding its team to accommodate a wide range of talents in music, but also eventually in sport and comedy.

In a statement issued to media, beehive said “In the last decade, we have been able to harness our collective experiences within the industry into a group approach to music publicity, music marketing, radio plugging and DSP strategy that is equal parts adaptable and unique to each client.”

Beehive’s talent portfolio includes artists big and small. They’ve helped artists like Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, South Summit, The VANNS, Dulcie, Eliza & The Delusionals, Yawdoesitall, Late 90s, Puree, The Tullarmarines, Greta Stanley and Evie Irie all make a start in the industry.

And they’ve represented established artists too, namely Ziggy Alberts, Hollow Coves, JET, Kisschasy, The Amity Affliction and Sam Fischer. And they’ve played a role in developing tours and album release campaigns for artists like Duran Duran, TLC, Matt Maltese, Frank Turner, Anberlin, George Clinton, Yellowcard and Wunderhorse. They’ve also worked with several prominent music festivals, including BIGSOUND, Howlin’ Country, A WEEKEND In The Gardens, One Of One and Wanderer Festival.

Celebrating the milestone, founder Sammie Walsh said “What an absolute privilege to be able to wake up every day and call this work. To work with such a wonderful hive of people, both internally and those externally.”

“So many who have become our friends and family. The Australian music industry is small but MIGHTY, filled with incredible talent both in the artists and the people behind the scenes. I’m so proud to be a part of this incredible industry and I am so ready for the next ten!”
