The Music Producer and Engineers’ Guild of Australia (MPEG) has announced the winners of the 2026 MPEG Awards presented by Shure.
The awards, which celebrate outstanding achievement across music production, engineering and studio practice in Australia, celebrated its third year in 2026.
The MPEG Awards "remain the only national awards program dedicated exclusively to producers and engineers – recognising the creative and technical leaders shaping Australian music behind the scenes," according to a press release.
This year's ceremony took place last night (February 25th) at The Darling Rooms Dockside, Cockle Bay Wharf, Sydney, hosted by Mentor Academy co-founder Ron Haryanto.
Alice Ivy was named Producer of the Year, while Ninajirachi took home two awards – Breakthrough Producer of the Year and Self-Producing Artist of the Year.
Anna Laverty, Chair and Founding Director of MPEG, said: “These winners represent the very best of Australian music production and engineering right now – work that’s technically brilliant, creatively fearless, and deeply considered. To be recognised by your peers is a huge achievement, and we’re proud to celebrate every recipient.”
As previously announced, the 2026 MPEG Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mike Chapman OAM, recognising one of Australia’s most influential global music figures
