The 2023 APRA Music Awards will be held on Thursday, April 27 at the ICC in Sydney on Gadigal land.

Ahead of the event, APRA AMCOS has revealed the three new hosts and musical director for this year's event.

Stand-up comedian, writer and actor Celia Pacquola will host alongside Fred Leone, a Butchulla Songman, language custodian and award-winning artist. Leone is the founder of Queensland's only Indigenous-owned and operated record label, Impossible Odds Records.

Roudning out the hosting trio is Henry Wagons, who APRA AMCOS said was a "professor of song" and an instigator of the Australian movement of indie-country music.

François ‘Franc’ Tétaz, meanwhile, is back at the helm as musical director. Tétaz is a Grammy Award-winning producer and screen composer. He will curate live performances for the awards, mixing and matching music collaborators who will put their spin on the five nominated Peer-Voted Song of the Year compositions.

The nominees across all 2023 APRA Music Awards categories will be revealed on Thursday, March 30.

Last year, The Kid LAROI's collaboration with Justin Bieber, "Stay", won Peer-Voted APRA Song of the Year, with The Kid also taking home Songwriter of the Year. Genesis Owusu won Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year.
