The full program for Indie-Con Australia's 2020 conference has been announced, with plenty of hot topics including record label inclusion policies on the agenda.

Australia's premier independent music conference returns on October 1 and 2 as an online-only event.

The program has a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and how music labels and the industry at large can change for the better.

A day one panel will offer insights to help labels adopt measures to ensure greater diversity and inclusion practices.

Day two will see a code of conduct for the music industry covered in a discussion on how the industry can be better.

Of course, there are plenty of coronavirus-related topics on the agenda, including live-streaming and virtual touring, and releasing music in lockdown.

Other presentations include 'How to get your music on the ARIA charts' and 'How to get on top of your revenue streams'.

International pathways for indie labels will also be covered, as well as the developing tech side of music.

Minister for Innovation and Skills David Pisoni highlighted the importance of 2020 Indie-Con in discussing the global issues COVID-19 has presented and navigating opportunities for growth.

“The South Australian Government is proud to be a major supporter of Indie-Con and while this year’s conference is virtual, we look forward to welcoming AIR and the independent music sector back to Adelaide next year,” Pisoni added.

It is free to attend for all AIR members, as well as members of the Worldwide Music Network or other Australian music industry bodies.

Non-members can also attend for $49.

The 2020 AIR Awards will be broadcast via YouTube on the Thursday evening from 8pm. Catch up on all the nominees.
