The seventh annual Sydney Reclink Community Cup took place on the weekend the Sailors (Media) losing out against the Walers (Musos).

Tears were shed (not really), beers were shared and the obligatory streaker stole the show at Henson Park in Marrickville yesterday.

Local MP Anthony Albanese offered commentary of the AFL game before the Walers (Scabz, Urthboy, Philadelphia Grand Jury, Alex The Astronaut, Smudge, The Stems, Sumeru & Fishing) were victorious 40-33.

Bachelor Pad playing a peppy set at half time and SCABZ' offered a boisterous performance after the presentations at full time.

The Lindy Morrison and Amanda Brown handed out the medal for Best on Ground to Nellie Pollard-Wharton (Waler). The Margaret and David medal for Best Critical Appraisal of Umpires went to Harry Harvey (Sailor), and the Lisa Kiwi Roper medal for Contribution to Community Cup went to Darren McLanders (Waler).

The real winner yesterday, was the work of Reclink Australia, which hosted the game to raise funds for sporting and art opportunities for disadvantaged Australians. Sydney's game followed the Melbourne event, with over 10,000 attendees raising $170,000 for Reclink Australia.
