Rapper Teether and producer Kuya Neil have signed a deal with independent label Chapter Records.

After forming late last year, the duo released their debut EP God Of Surprises on Teether's own X Amount Records, gaining a fervent following among Melbourne's underground faithful.

To coincide with the deal, Teether and Kuya Neil have also debuted their abrasive new single 'Theory', marking their first release as Chapter artists.

Chapter Music's Guy Blackman welcomed the enigmatic act to the label's roster and hinted at more exciting things to come.

"We're over the moon to announce that we've signed the exceptionally exciting Naarm/Melbourne duo Teether and Kuya Neil," the Chapter label head wrote.

"They released the magnificent EP God of Surprises earlier this year on great local label X Amount Records and now we have an arresting new track from the duo to share, 'Theory'. It's available on YouTube and Bandcamp now and will be on streaming services Wednesday.

"Exciting things to come from these two."
