Future soul artist Ngaiire has signed to Dot Dash Recordings, the Australian label of Remote Control Records.

The Papua New Guinea-born artist has release two albums, most recently in 2016 with Blastoma. Over the course of her career, Ngaiire has earned four National Live Music Awards, an Australian Music Prize and AIR Award nominations, and the inaugural Australian Women in Music Award for Artistic Excellence.

"It’s really exciting to finally have a small but incredibly dedicated army of people to help carry this project," the singer said in a statement.

"What means even more is that Dot Dash came to the table really wanting this partnership and have already shown how fearless they are about taking on an artist that has never really fit the moulds – so you know we bout to shift gears now."

Ngaiire joins fellow Aussie artists Donny Benét, Sui Zhen, Banoffee, Gena Rose Bruce and Methyl Ethel, among others, on the Dot Dash roster.

The signing comes as Remote Control launches a music publishing arm, Remote Control Music, as a joint venture with Beggars Music. Remote Control will represent Beggars Music’s catalogue in Australia and New Zealand, while local signees will have access to the global services offered by Beggars.
