Sydney alt-pop trio I Know Leopard have signed a worldwide distribution deal with French heavyweights Believe.

News of the deal coincides with the band's return with new single 'Lover Automatic', which marks their first release since 2019's Love Is A Landmine.

Co-produced and mixed by Konstantin Kersting (Tones & I, The Jungle Giants), 'Lover Automatic' sees I Know Leopard change stylistic lanes to pursue a sound that touches upon lo-fi hip-hop and shimmering pop.

The single is also released alongside a new animated visual courtesy of Sydney designer Luke Saunders, which depicts the band traveling through a psychedelic landscape.

Mick Tarbuk, Believe's head of Australia and New Zealand, celebrated the band's signing and extended his well wishes to the release of the band's new single.

“We are thrilled to be working with I Know Leopard, and are looking forward to sharing 'Lover Automatic' with the world,” Tarbuk said.
