Illy and Ecca Vandal join up with Aussie hip hop stalwarts Hilltop Hoods on their classic-sounding new single ‘Exit Sign’. The track is drawn from the group’s eighth studio album The Great Expanse, out today.

‘Exit Sign’ channels much of the same timbre and flare that has prompted their success over the years. The trio have nine ARIAs to their name, eight Platinum accreditations and half a billion global streams.

Hoods’ impact on Australian radio has also been significant. Five of their singles have broken the Top 20 on the TMN Hot 100, dating back to 2011’s ‘I Love It’ ft. Sia (#13). Previous release ‘Leave Me Lonely’ was crowned Most Added To Radio in November.

"Our model has always been the Beastie Boys,” Suffa (Matt Lambert) points outs, “they always released Beastie Boys tracks. Whether it was the early 90s, late 90s, mid-2000s, whatever, it sounded like them. But it didn't ever sound like they repeated themselves."

Sarah Aarons pops up on our radar once again with songwriting credits on 'Exit Signs'. The Aussie recently worked with Meg Mac on ‘Something Tells Me’, and continues to prove her acumen for hit-making.
