SOTD: Diplo becomes Thomas Wesley on 'So Long'

Diplo has unveiled his new country project, running under the name of Thomas Wesley (which is actually a part of Diplo’s real name).

The first track ‘So Long’ features Nashville country music superstar Cam who was recently in Australia for CMC Rocks.

Diplo's most recent single 'Close To Me' with Ellie Goulding ft. Swae Lee peaked at #8 on the TMN Hot 100.

Meantime Cam has reached the #1 spot on the TMN Country Airplay Chart with 'Burning House'.

The release is one of a spate of recent collaborations between mainstream and country artists, but its a first for Diplo, who is also a part of collaborative projects Major Lazer and LSD.

Bebe Rexha released a duet with Florida Georgia Line on ‘Meant to Be’ in 2018, racking up more than one billion streams worldwide.

Lil Nas X has continued on the country wave in 2019. He has been dominating the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, sitting at number one with ‘Old Town Road’ featuring country legend Billy Ray Cyrus.
