Yours & Owls festival is giving one lucky Aussie artist the chance to realise their dream of not just performing live before any crowd once again, but playing live before a hungry festival crowd.

Announcing its 2022 lineup back in November, Yours & Owls festival is set to take over Stuart Park in Wollongong this April, with this year's edition of the festival taking place on the weekend of April 2nd and 3rd.

A stellar follow-up to an event which saw organisers forced to postpone and pivot their usual methods in order to ensure that 2021's festivities were COVID-safe, this year is set to feature the likes if the Hilltop Hoods, BENEE, The Jungle Giants, Flight Facilities, and Violent Soho.

However, even festival organisers have conceded that the lineup isn't quite complete yet, with one lucky Aussie act still set to be announced for the bill. And the exciting part is, it could be just about anyone talented enough.

From today, a partnership between Yours & Owls and don't bore us is giving one local Australian act the chance to find themselves added to this year's lineup.

The competition is open to any Australian residents, and to enter, musicians simply need to head along to the competition page on the don't bore us website and submit the Spotify URL of their most recent release before February 1st.

After that, the don't bore us team will pick 25 of their favourite acts to continue on to the next round. From February 7th, the public will be able to vote on the top 25, with a live tally giving constant updates in regards to the top ten, with the ten acts with the most votes moving on to round three on March 7th.

In addition to the chance of winning the chance to play the festival, the winning act will also receive $500 fully delivered (i.e. any costs associated with the performance including but not limited to travel, accomodation, production, rehearsals, etc will all be inclusive of fee).

As stated above, any and all Australian residents are eligible to enter the competition, and only a Spotify URL of their latest release required to enter.

Needless to say, any artist will undeniably view this as a massive opportunity for their career, with the chance to perform before a monstrous festival crowd easily on track to be one of the year's biggest highlights,
