Foo Fighters have taken out their eighth #1 debut on the ARIA Albums Chart, while Kate Ceberano has claimed her first top five album in more than a decade.

Foo Fighters released their 10th studio album, Medicine at Midnight, earlier this month through Roswell Records/RCA Records/Sony Music Entertainment Australia. Foo Fighters were recently announced as one of 16 acts shortlisted for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Closer to home, Ceberano's latest album, Sweet Inspiration, was also released through Sony - her 28th album overall. The record comprises mostly covers, with songs originally written by Leonard Cohen, Carole King, Dolly Parton, John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Two original songs also feature on the album.

"On behalf of my band, I am so grateful that we can give you this music at this time," Ceberano said in a statement.

"I thank Sony Music for their support of me during the Melbourne lockdown and giving me a project to get stuck into as an artist, as a songwriter, as a musician and producer. It really helped to keep me together in this uncertain time."

Elsewhere in the top five, The Weeknd's greatest hits album, The Highlights, made its debut at #2, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets' SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound debuted at #4, while The Kid LAROI's F*ck Love (Savage) dropped slightly to #3.
